■ Environment Watch System

- Watching out bad waste water treatment facilities
- Watching out various environment pollutions (check out public petition tips)
- Conservation of nature

○ Cleansing polluted rivers: By means of bamboo and activated carbon adsorptions cleanse water quality and make rivers clean, intending to improve and maintain the water quality of potable water providing places.
○ Improving tap water quality: Based on surveying basic consciousness and fact finding of tap water use by end users, provide for the solution of reliability recovery of tap water.
○ Water quality monitoring by citizens: A practical group, composed of citizens and students, survey the river pollution of the Han river and visit a filtration plant, for the purpose of being more conscious of the conservation of water quality.
○ Watching out water pollution: By eradication of bad waste water treatment facilities, prevent from water pollution around portable water supplying areas and from influx of polluted water. Establish an environment conservation council that is composed of neighboring citizens, local businessmen, local government, and experts to present an appropriate alternative.
○ Food waste: Publicize the separation discharge policy followed by prohibition of direct landfill openly. Have a friendly environment group educate them and publicize it in order to encourage citizen's participation and response and strengthen the effect of the policy.
○ Proposal of swamps maintenance: In order to maintain and succeed to the original function of the swamps, the treasure house of resources and lives, survey the factual maintenance of the swamps, in terms of conservation sense not of academic or administrative sense. Observe the ecology of land swamps, inform of the value and importance of these, so that the conservation of the swamps may be maintained, and that maintenance solution may be prepared.

○ Environment love art competition: Through it have every citizen remind of the interest about environment and descend it to the descendants, for the purpose of cherishing environment and strengthening consciousness of it.
○ Alevin planting events: Through planting golden freshwater mandarin fish (national monument 190) and so on by neighboring citizens and elementary students, conserve native fishes, maintain the ecological balance of rivers; finally, recover river self purification ability and strengthening the consciousness of river environment conservation.
○ Ecology exploration program by college students: Explore areas such as the 35 environment conservation areas appointed by MOE, MOMAF, and local governments; and it will lead to know correctly of Korean ecology and the value of nature.
○ Campaign for reuse of one-time use products: Remind that reusable things among wastes is not waste but resource, with publicizing of reuse to actual users like meal businesses.
○ Event for easy opener ends collecting: Adopt it to separate reuse, based on the facts that easy opener end being various, promote reuse only by collecting can caps, and make wheel chairs out of collected easy opener ends to provide it for people.
○ NGO Monitoring by National Assembly's audit and inspection of state affairs: Policy check action to satisfy civic groups' activities and citizen's right to know.
